I couldn't hear 15 or anything above that. I could feel (but not hear) up to 20, but got nothing at all past that.

What are you using to monitor?
15 at low volume. 16 when i cranked it.
i'm 26, so i guess my hearing is about right for my age - go figure.
17Khz at mid volume here, using jojo's next pair of cans to monitor ;) I'm 24
Edit: 16.8Khz using Ableton's test tone at -36db, 17.1Khz at -10db and 20Khz at 0db (with my head about to blow). Hmmm
17 on normal vol (3/4) (JBL Creature Speakers) with no headphones, 18 with HDJ 1000s (Same vol).
I thought I was hearing up to 17hz, but then I had my roommate click it while I wasn't looking and I could only hear up to 15hz. Have someone else click it for you to really test yourself
17khz at normal volume through my laptop speakers.
15 well I know it was around 15,700 last time I tried with a test tone!
Lost the rest in Ibiza in 2007!Will never forget coming out of Eden with my ears ringing!
16 with headphones on. barely made out 17 with the sound cranked all the way up.
19 bitches. Does that mean I'm winning?
I wonder if I routed this through my audio 4 rather than my shitty laptop sound card it'll make a difference.
22Khz with my pretty cheap Sennheiser 202's..
I repeated it with an app I downloaded because the online samples were pretty much fuked with them crackles & all, and I was still able to distuingish a 22Khz sound - very softly of course.
That's almost impossible...
Jesus. How old are you stephan? If you don't mind me asking that is.
I'm 21. I'm not sure if the frequencies above 20Khz I'm hearing are really 21 and 22 Khz, maybe they're just noise or something, but the 21Khz samples does sound higher than the 20Khz one, and the 22 sample in turn sounds higher than the 21 sample..
Huh true. It's probably an artefact sound then, it's just weird that I can very clearly hear a difference between the 21 and 22 KHz tone. I'll give it a try with my HD25's when I get them, but until then, 20KHz for sure so that still makes me the current winner :D
Remember that the little pop at the beginning and end of the sample don't count. The test shows that I can hear 16 kHz, but I still hear the pops in the higher frequency samples.
@Padi: damnit! haha
@DennisHuiberts: yeah, the online samples suck pretty bad, I'm using a downloaded tool called NCH Tone Generator, way less crackling!
at 18KHz and 21KHz I can hear like old printer screaming, but silently, noise, does that count
14...my hearing loss with cause from a different type of boom!
Military?
19 with headphones but im only 20 so I guess thats ok :)
i can barely hear 19
im 17
used pioneer hdj 500s (5Hz - 28kHz)
normal volume via my laptop's sound card
:O maybe too much heavy listening... im using shitty sony headphones and this was dont in the morning whilst my ears were fresh...
16, but my excuse is that when I'm not DJ'ing, I'm working with rather loud helicopters. With rather loud guns on.
my hearing is million khz, i pwn you all at hearing clouds floating and ghosts looming!!
I got 17, I'm 22.
Thats alright
I can hear 18khz but very faint. 17khz clear as a bell though :) using hd205 phones btw
17kHz on low volume on my laptop speakers..
While messing around with a simple sine oscillator on a proper set of speakers i get up to 19kHz tho
I got up to 20khz and im 18.
lies
can't find my cans to do the test.. but i had a proper hearing test at an audiologist in about october last year, and for my age and conditioning (dj'ing, playing in bands, etc) it was above average!
i thought the tinnitus would have caused some frequency loss or masking but obviously it didnt.
i'll try and find the results sheet, but i dont think i have it anymore.
I bet I could hear up to 22 KHz but I don't have good enough head phones. =[
Cut out @ 18.
18 & 19 were faint but audible. 20 - 22 were clearer.
I guess the ex guitarist in my old band used to play between 18 - 19 khz a lot. Feedback's a bitch.
I can hear 17 clearly, 18 faintly
