Please?!?!?!?
As if there aren't enough options already?
Anywho, if they made one, all of us old heads wouldn't go there, and the newbies wouldn't get their questions answered ...
I've been so tempted to start a "do it for me thread" somewhere we can all tell the new guys what to buy, how to mix, whether or not to use sync, and all of the other "do it for me" topics. But I'm not a douche. I think a noob forum would be good. I think there are enough of us that want to help the new guys out that it would be worthwhile.
Not until we get an Ableton forum! :D
I'm sorry if noobs get on your nerves, but if you isolate them to one forum then they will more than likely never get the help they need.
Any noobies forum would just turn into a graveyard full of noobies howling into the void
We should also get one for people to complain in!!
we were all noobs once. Granted I was never as annoying as new noobs mainly cause I've always been amaizng!
n00bs should have a place to share too. While each individual n00b may not have the expertise of many of the experts on this forum (whose advice and wisdom I greatly appreciate) I think giving them a forum to share information and the things they learn will facilitate the process of them teaching themselves and make them not so completely reliant on the busy experts. Also by consolidating all "learning" or "how-to" posts into one forum it makes it much easier for first timers to begin. Sure they can google their brains out and watch youtube for hours but I think as a group of people who love our hobby/profession that we should make it as easy as possible to share our knowledge.

TL;DR Information is Free-N00b forum good.
Who said i was bitching?
no one...but i am saying that if you wanted to you could do your bitching in the off topic section...
The problem with a 'newbie' forum is that few want to consider themselves newbies, or they think they get better help from the pro section. So such a sub-forum just becomes less used than expected.
I nominate Chilly to moderate the noobs forum
aye
I know! Let's create a subforum for every user on DJTT! That way we can all have our own little zone to call ours.
Just kidding.
I swear, half the threads in the general forum are from newbies anyway. Isn't that was this forum is used for?
How about instead of a newbie section, a "seasoned DJ" section where you need to have a certain amount of posts to enter? This would create a place for all the people with lots of posts to come and take a break from the monotony of answering the same thread over and over again. Or something...
maybe a newbie faq thread for the general discussion. that way you can have an agreement upon signing up that you read the faq before posting threads or else your redundant thread will be locked/deleted.
that would atleast help with some of the ones that get asked all the time. it's not bad if it's a question that doesn't come up much even if it's for beginners. i don't mind answering newb questions now and then, it's not like i'm in a big hurry when i'm browsing djtt lol.
CAN'T WE LIKE, CONCENTRATE THE NEWBS? MAYBE LIKE INTO SOME SORT OF CAMP? But, what would we call it?
Ahem...
lol
sorry guys, polarization just drives me insane.
another board?!?!?!?

polar bears drive me insane :(
I always thought that that was part part of the off topic forum? :pQuote:
Yeah so do I.Quote:
I swear
Let's have a swearing forum just for swearing at each other or at stuff or at yourself. Just for the sake of it.
Swearing is both big & clever.
I don't think they're should be a forum for newbs.
1. Then PRO dj's will be like "How do I bla, bla, bla" then somone else will be like "Why aren't you in the newb section?!"
- I doubt every DJ knows everything about every little minor detail in the world of music.
2. Newbs will be helping newbs, which will create a paradox and destroy djing as we know it.
3. Arent forums for...Helping, Sharing and Discussing?
4. If someone says "I need help with speakers", or something you know SO MUCH ABOUT, you don't have to click it.
Bam I am newb, and thats how thats goin down :D
see, i think most of the vets here are kind of hypocritical after this thread.
most of you bitch about seeing the same threads, then turn around and say "oh but we wont help them if they have their own forum."
be a man, pick a side, you cant have it both ways.
+1
By himself :)
swearing ftw. bitches :p
