Hey DJTT , i have one question :
i would like to use 4 deck in Traktor , i have already 2 controler with one mixer , but i hesitate between the X1 and two scs 3D .. what is better ?
And for soundcard i would like to take one ESI gigaport HD , i have read some review , he was good , wath do you think about the ESI soundcard ?

I'd say wait for Xone's K2, since that looks very promising, and you might have a use for the built-in soundcard! But, if you're set on getting the X1 or scs.3Ds, the X1 has been the choice for many.
okay , in france i can have the scs 3d for 81£
But the x1 is better choice

if you want to use sample decks for C+D then you'd be better off with something with buttons like the X1/K2. for normal deck control and effects stuff the scs.3d is very cool... i tend to use it for effects as i don't have any encoders on my other controllers - but use my other controllers with buttons for more instant grat type stuff.
you can also get the scs.3d's pretty cheap - i paid 50quid for each of mine.

i was thinking about adding a X1 to my setup (not to use all at the same time ofc :p) but wasnt 100% happy with its layout. the K2 however looks pretty much perfect to me... ;)
okay , i don't know , maybe one x1 because i can't wait untill january and this controler have good effet section but i love the trigger mode one the scs 3d
if the X1 offer is still on then that's a good deal with TP2. i don't remember whether it ended at the end of sep or oct tho.Quote:

i have mine setup so that the leds spin round the platter area when a tune is playing like on a cdj... it does look cool :)
there's plenty of 2nd hand scs.3d's around these days, i would probably pick up one of those and then think about a K2. well in fact that's exactly what i am doing...
the X1 is a very good controller too of course, i just think the K2 will be a lot better and cheaper when u consider it has a soundcard and comes with a free case.
we can mode the led feedback on the scs 3d?

led feedback is very flexible on the scs.3d. they come with an app called DaRouter that gives u multiple layers etc and also i've coded some stuff in my midimasher app that replaces all of that and adds some cool stuff in like the spinning leds round the jogs etc.Quote:

Yes i love the scs 3d , i have tested them , it's really responsive and confortable with good feedback ! but he is really slim a need to raise it ..
How to change the style of led feedback ?
sure - they aren't very tall - but the X1/K2 aren't either ofc - and so need to sit on top of something.Quote:

im not sure what DaRouter lets u do as i haven't tried it in ages but i think it supports most of the various options - depending on what mode the scs.3d is in.
the main area can be in circle, slider or button mode. each supports different midi messages.
as well as just telling it to turn on or off a single led u can light up combinations in any of these modes: peak, spread, boost or trace
u can do just about anything over midi with it that u would ever want to.
it does need either DaRouter or my midimasher to sit between traktor and the scs.3d tho to do all that stuff. i'll be releasing a version of my scs.3d code soon with my midimasher - tho DaRouter probably does all u would want.
it's definately a very cool controller - and a very neat size. i'm almost tempted to buy a 3rd :p tho i don't use these two together enough anyway...
