8 bit set Idea...
I was thinking about doing a set with all really popular 8 bit tunes from old Nintendo games. I thought It would be cool if like it was me and friend doing an 8 bit show all night...
Problem is I can't find very many good ones. And some 8-bit is like true 8-bit but I want just like either, House, Electro or Dubstep tracks that have 8 bit samples or synths...Not 8-bit quality to clarify.
So if you guys have any cool Nintendo or 8-bit tracks that you know of feel free to post them here, or recommend me to a website that has a gwop of them.
P.S Do you think its a cool Idea???

While it's not going to be house/electro/dubstep remixes of the tracks... Check out the Video Game Breaks series ([ame="http://www.amazon.com/Video-Game-Breaks-MP3-Collection/dp/B004I0K5NU"]Amazon.com: Video Game Breaks MP3 DVD Collection: Sports & Outdoors@@AMEPARAM@@http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/61H-LWSEhAL.@@AMEPARAM@@61H-LWSEhAL[/ame]) It's more of a turntablist series, but has a TON of tracks on there with a few good remixes too... Completely worth the $25.

Go 8bitpeoples! These guys are the one.

Hell, besides 8bit tracks you could also do a whole set using old MOD scores (converted to mp3 of course), NoiseTracker anyone? Ah nostalgia...

Check out http://www.8bitoperators.com for some cool 8-bit tributes to Kraftwerk and The Beatles.

If you want to go full on get your self an old gameboy dmg (the original grey ones), get your self a blank cart and download nanoloop or lsdj (or some kind of other tracker), build your self an auduino midi interface and sync it to the midi out on traktor, launch clips (kind of like in ableton) and rout it into your mixer!
You could get a couple of hours of loops in a project on lsdj!

When i went on an 8 bit mission, the first thing I did was download a good SIDplayer, http://sidplayer.cebix.net/
Massive C64 soundbanks aplenty. I bounced alot of these down to WAV / MP3 and re sequenced.
Here's an example done up with some drums....you get the idea...
