Hello Im using traktor + icecast to broadcast live.. but the problem is that everyone can see the tracks that Im mixing...
I want to know how can I disable that... in icecast.. or tell me another software to broadcast with which will allow me to hide the track IDs
Try Nicecast if you are on Mac. But why would you want to hide the track IDS? DJ snob?
Didn't we already go through this?
I want to hide the titles because most of the tracks that I use are promos.. and as you know.. there are many pirates who can use streamripper to grab the audio and upload it all over the internet...
if they cant see the name of the track.. the use of streamripper will be pointless

SAM2, ezstream and Oddcast look like they will work but I have not tested any of them.

@Prisoneer, my guess is that you dont have an external soundcard (or any with line in for that matter)?
I believe that if you are using Win7, if you turn off "allow application to lock driver excusivley" it can share the output with traktor and "fetch" the sound beeing sent on the fly.
Also, have you checked with your soundcard driver, does it have "stereo mix" in the input mixer, that should allow you to send the copy of the audio internally, to mixlr.
Another option is tu use virtual audio cables and route first to mixlr and then use mixler's monitoring option to send the sound further down the line (I love that new option).
In my case, I'm using Presonus Firebox connected to RecOUT on my Numark mixer so it's been easy for me.
What soundcard do you use?
Ok.. So when I double-click the volume icon and then Options-> Properties..
Then I choose the mixer device to be Realtek HD Audio Input.. and there I see the Stereo Mix that you are talking about... I mark it and then the mic doesnt trigger... and I started broadcasting.. and then when I exported my mix to soundcloud.. I saw that its 96kbps bitrate... why is that so ? What can I do to make it sound better
The upgrade to pro gets you a higher quality.
I found a way to hide the tracks ID while broadcasting with Traktor :)

Ok .. so download IceCast.. install it.. change the settings as u like.. then in Traktor in the broadcasting section write the info of your server.. then start the IceCast server and click the broadcast icon in Traktor.. if the brodcast icon is not flashing then all is good..
Go to your web browser and type 127.0.0.1:8000 (or whatever port u wrote in IceCast and Traktor) and you will see ur server running.. then download the playlist file.. download shoutcast dsp plugin for winamp.. install it.. start winamp.. play the playlist file that u downloaded.. mute the volume.. go to listen2myradio.com , create account .. start your radio station.. see the IP of your free radio.. write it in the DSP plugin.. there is a option to Show the track IDs.. remove it .. connect to your server and voila :)

And while hiding the names of your tracks, you mess up your audio quality for good. Would not tag that as a solution.
