...absolutely melt face!!! I subscribed about 3 weeks ago, and I have numbers 1, 9, and 10. I was wondering if there was any way to get the past ones.
I've got 1,2,4,5,8 & 10. And some more at my workplace, probably the missing ones (3,6,9).
I just bought a MF3D a couple weeks ago and I, too, have packs 9 (Trap Pak), 10 (Unleash the Beast) and did some digging around on the DJTT website and found pack 1 (Old Space Dub Tripper). I would love to be able to download the rest of the packs! Whenever any of my friends want to play around with my midi fighter, I simply load up one of Mad Zach's Soundpacks and let them jam!
Also, just want to give thanks and appreciation to Mad Zach and DJTT for these packs and putting stuff in their email newsletter that actually makes it worth subscribing too. But again, since I just recently purchased my first MF(3D), I missed out on a lot of cool soundpacks that I would love to be able to show off to my friends!!
I've got 3,6&7. How I've end up without #9, beats me.
Not sure if DJTT will agree about free redistribution of these samples.
Mods from SF office, advice?
Thanks for all the responses everyone. I would very much like to grab those missing packs from you ToS, but I also don't want to step on DJTT's toes with the free distribution, so I'll ask an admin. Do you have a Dropbox account?
As a matter of fact, I do. I just noticed that #9 was missing but I had the link to their amazon s3, and it was still working. So, I'd be pretty confident that DJTT can just supply us with www.djtechtools,com proxy links (so they can track usage and referrers and wahtnot). Let's wait for admin advice, I think it's for the best.
I've pointed Zach to this thread.
i also just have the 5 most recent ones, would be verry happy with the others
I want the first ones too!!!!!
Zach is an incredible guy, I'm sure we'll work out something.
This last one was really good. I only have the one before it and maybe one other so I would love to get the other ones as well.
My guess is the sound packs are a way to get people to sign up for the newsletter, so not sure they want to make them available and I understand that. Maybe have it so if you bought a midi fighter you can grab the old packs or something.
I do hope they keep making the packs though. I really look forward to them and I think they are a great selling tool for DJTT as well, I know I bought the MF knowing I would have the sound packs to get started.
BTW, is anyone posting vids or audio of their routines with the sound packs. It seems like some packs I can come up with a bunch of stuff, and others I can only come up with a few riffs. I'd like to see other people's routines to get some ideas.
Crackbot, you are spot-on, thanks for explaining it so well.
Zach or meself could easily put the packs up for the grabs but I'd like to hear from DJTT office first.
Hey guys, its awesome to hear so much positive feedback! I'm working on setting up a way to get you all the packs. I'm thinking its kind of like in mission impossible when the tape (or link) with the mission on it self destructs after you listen (or download) to it. What do people think is fair and what is it worth to you?
I'm in the process of putting together a longer video that walks through each and every step needed to create your own racks, from sound design and layout to performance techniques and set integration. This video will also come with some very useful sample building blocks and probably come as a dvd or digital download.
I'd also be curious to hear if you guys have ideas for pack styles you want to hear?
I love the packs, the Notorious sample is off the chain in 12. Thank you for providing such awesome paints to paint with.
Zach, u da man big homie, but like alot of dues i got a problem, i dont have all you packs and even the most recent one i accidently (slap face here) deleted the e-mail with the links. Cant Ean give you your own lil archive section or Zachs Casa on the site, with all you past and present goodies (videos suggestions and tips) that would be killer as im new to ableton and while some of you stuff im already trying to use, some of it is a lil advanced for me and it would be well nice to be able to re-visit your past stuff once i have a firmer grip on the concepts at hand.. ya dig?
othet than that... thanks dude, keep killin it... and btw... im realll close to ordering my midi fighter pro spec. ed.
Holy crap I forgot I signed up for these, I have like most of the links sitting in my email :D
ahhhh dude can you pm me the links mate? if its ok with Zach
Er, imma wait for DJTT to respond with what they're doing. Maybe they'll just throw them all up for download.
Hey Guys,
Hang tight, we are discussing the best way to distribute these to everyone. I will update this thread once we have made an official decision
How many exactly are there by the way?
12 so far
Ahhh I don't have too many then. I have 6... haha.
It would be bad ass if Mad Zach did a tutorial video for each sound pack. This would make a nice content section for the DJTT site as well as an opportunity for DJTT readers to learn from an music production knowledge ninja.
when are we gunna be able to download old sound packs or ones we might have missed (maybe cos we deleted the email :cursing:)
this would be a huge help, along with maybe some ideas or tips for using each pack
thanks zack
MadZach does make excellent tutorials...simple enough for common user to understand but each time pushing some fresh ideas. Fresh for a common user, that is.
hey durtyjerzy609, we're working out the best way to supply you guys with all the sample packs right now and I'm aiming to have a solution by next week.
this week was number 13
The sounds packs take a lot of time and energy each week so we want to continue them but are trying figure a way to earn some revenue to cover the high costs of production and serving.
Here is the ideas on the table now- what do you think?
Offer a "premium" dj tt membership for 9.99 a month that includes access to all past content, future packs and a premium pack with complete mappings, macro's, and additional pages of content.
The "basic" weekly pack will continue to be free but for those that really love it you can sign up for the premium service which includes access and added features.
The premium service would also include access to a NEW weekly sound pack Ean is building for the Traktor remix decks. So a new remix deck pack each week from Ean.
What do you think?
yes, so that means they will come pre-mapped for MF models but also include macro's within the project so that you can re-assign any midi controller to work within less than a minute, nothing complicated involved
I think of one year as equaling $120.00 of revenue for DJTT. Is there enough value here for users that only use ableton or just traktor or neither? I mean for $120.00 or 9.99/month there really has to be something that separates the subscription from the free email. I think the mappings + exclusive tutorials + exclusive samples + monthly mix , and maybe some sort of production feedback area so we can get honest advice, help, and criticism to help us grow us DJ's, producers, and find ways for some us the users to make money at this wonderful hobby.
I know people will complain, but $10 a month for 4 quality packs is actually a pretty good deal. Anyone that buys loops or samples knows you can spend $30 on a pack and barely get one or two loops that are any good.
Basically it comes to $2.50 per sound pack, the same cost as an MP3 at Beatport, and for me, I get way more value out of a sound pack with macros then another tired EDM track from Beatport. Also, if I read correctly it would include a remix set from Ean as well. Not sure if that will be every week or just once in a while but if it's every week, that's pretty cool.
if this was every week, and gave access to all the packs (including older ones with demos etc.) then id set up my paypal right now to make my monthly payment. how long till we can make this a go?
Weekly samples and remix decks are a bit pushy, creativity-wise. Would be better to spread them out which would bring each time a kick-ass combo.
Being a Lurker with this as my 1st post - It might not count for anything - But I think this is a great idea.
I already have something similar for one of my other Hobbies - Roleplaying - Whereby there is a Monthly Subscription for which you get access to Tools/Content etc. - See http://www.wizards.com/dnd/subscription.aspx
Here for a recurring Monthly fee - You get use of Online tools for running games as well as Electronic Content which you can search / print / read etc. this is constantly updated to reflect the Printed Books which they produce and is an excellent source of content for playing the games.
If such a thing exisited on DJ TT - including Sound Packs, tools, tips and extra content - Then I for one would be happy to sign up.
Also since it is a Subscription service you can opt out at any point in time or start/stop as needed - Once it effectively on a 'Pay As You Go' situation.
$10 will just about cover the cost of a Large Meal in MacDonalds here in the UK and that lasts about 5 minutes at the most. So $10 a month for hours of Electronic Music Jiggery Pokery with additional content - Seems to be pretty good value to me.
as long as these would work with my mpd18 and ableton/serato thru the bridge then ill be happy
hasn't been an issue so far, repeating deadlines are actually a stimulant to my creativity
