I think if this is something you are interested in the best thing is to be very active on the forums, be as helpful as you can and work on those people skills. We're not all "product specialists" or anything (heck, i'm far from it) eventually when the subject comes up we'll keep an eye on some candidates and go from there. Personally i don't think of this as a job.
