I'm a little disappointed that DJTT is discontinuing the MF Classic. I think if the price was fixed at $125 from now on (half the price of the 3D), they would sell a lot. But then again, they are handmade, and the staff probably needs to focus their time on new projects. Perhaps they can get mass-produced overseas like the 3D. Oh well, sad to see the MFC go!

I don't think MF3D + knobs/faders makes sense... It would be too large and difficult to hold up and control while moving around.
I would also love to see a mixer. Perhaps an actual hardware mixer would be too difficult, but a midi mixer like the upcoming Behringer CMD MM-1 would be feasible? I think it also really makes sense since many people who buy Midi Fighters probably have modular setups and would benefit from having a portable mixer to go with their modular controllers.

The most likely case is that they're just releasing a MF with RGB LEDs, but no motion controls or side buttons.

This was my thought immediately when I saw that "..something new..." was coming. I want the RGB of MF3D, but don't really have a need for the motion controls. Don't ever see myself using the motion controls at all, but the RGB feedback and remix deck integration is very nice. At the sale price, the MF Classic still has some appeal: to me, it makes a lot of sense as an Ableton Drum Rack controller (I don't need velocity-sensitive pads for what I do...).Quote:

I'd really like it if they'd incorporate some more controls on there though. I'd buy three of them if they'd just put one more row of buttons, so you could use the kill controls of the remix decks without sacrificing your bank switches, or so that you could have all 8 cue points for two decks, plus a cue and play button.

Midi fighter pro size would be nice. I like the beatmasher orientation next to controllers because the length sits nice and flush and isn't a little box. Whatever it is if its useful itl be on order for me.

I think a slimline controller packed with features (similar to an x1 and x2) would be sweet. It could help them target the niche they helped create. Those bedroom, button-mashing beasts ready to showcase their skills in the outside world. In my mind, DJTT has already set itself far ahead of the game in terms of intuitive hardware thats easily controlled with your hands. This could be a way to showcase that while giving their target market a piece of kit thats small and portable. Some of those DJs would be able to branch out to play with new equipment with the added confidence of something like this.

Nice. Can't wait to see what's coming out. I have a MF Classic but skipped over the MF3D as I didn't want/need the 3D functionality. Everything else was good...I just couldn't bring myself to pull the trigger. Now, depending on what this new controller can do, I may be tempted!
