Very sad still. Qbert did not see his 3rd birthday. Misdiagnosed by 3 vets and when he was found to have TickFever, it was too late.
Also, don't be fooled into thinking he was Great Dane size....due to the cat.
The cat was a midget.....never got much bigger than a large kitten. He was the size of a boxer about.
Just a bit more heavier set.

I've heard of some hedgehogs biting, our fella NEVER bites just gets really huffy if you catch him off-guard and will start panting and wheezing like mad, if you try to pick him up in a huff he'll make an effort to kinda suddenly shift and jolt towards you with spikes upright to get you away (and the spikes can break skin occasionally), if you are firm with him though he'll just accept it and calm down in a few seconds.Quote:

He will bite though if you have a new scent on your hands e.g. Food that he hasn't tasted before, new soap, hand cream etc ... its just their way of getting acquainted with a new smell, once he takes a nip he'll go into a kinda contortionist position trying to lick the new scent all over his spikes (and will probably fall over a few times trying to get it right the way down his back).
Under normal Circumstances though he'll keep his spikes down and you can pet him like a hairbursh texture cat :P
