You will find out on the 3rd of October when it's revieled at BPM. My guess is a vci style midi controller...
Blurry cam... grrrr :)
I'd be sold if.... It had 4 deck control, at least 2 dedicated FX controllers, HID support.
anything else and I'll stick to my Vestax TR-1 thanks
God how many time are we gonna have that same pic posted up.
Anyhoo the jogwheels look like the ones from a 1D so my guess is that its pretty much 2 X 1Ds with a mixer section like the VCI so no good for itchy-scratchy stuff which is fine as u would expect from Allen & Heath.
From the pic ive seen elsewhere it looks kinda plasticy !!! Unlike the VCI. and unlike the 1D or 2D.
Certainly worth a look but my hunch is it will be a more EDM version of the VCI (meaning not good at all for scratching).
I believe it's an ITCH controller....
Cheers
D
Interesting , what makes you say that. The jog wheels (from the crappy pic) dont suggest its an Itch controller. Certainly dont look as large as the VCI 300 or even the 100.
Have you tried scratching on a 1D or Hercules , its like scratcing with a blini ;)
I'm with K here!
I think its a slim all MIDI version of the 3d/4d.
btw K, could you PM me the other link?
kinda looks like there is 4 volume faders in the blurry pic, but its hard to tell
Its the same pic but with a bit less fuzzy effect . Not much diff.
Its on this forum:

Yeah im thinking budget market all round controller for about £300 .
Trying to get in on the VCI market because no-one can afford a 4D and the 1D is to big and limited for what it can do (i mean the faderfox dx2 is micro and does 10 times m more) and you really need 2 or 2D which is twice as confusing to use as the 1D.
Dont get me wrong , i Love the Xone 62 , i use it every week for my big gig. I love A&H stuff so ill defo have a look at it but if the jog wheels arent better (and i mean much better) that the VCI and it is as plastic as it looks i wont be changing in a hurry.
Yeah id agree with that. Also looks like 4 buttons under Blue Lights (Play Button) which might choose which Traktor (or other software) deck you control on that side of the controller which would be very cool as i get too confused with Modifiers all over the place hah.
dang it even has a build in audio device...i´m excited to see the whole controller
Yeah that would be a huge plus point . If it had a 'Booth' output as well as Headphone and Master id be as happy as a pig in shit.
If they came out with a statement that the Sound card was similar to the quality of the 4D or Audio 8 it would probably up the price a bit maybe around the 700quid mark but it would still be worth a good look.
Shh i think my VCI is getting jealous;)
mmmmm
I want this withOUT a soundcard, dammit!
Yep.....definately looks like 4 channel faders. Traditional mixer setup with settings for X Fader etc.
Looks like 4 buttons at the bottom ala VCI and the same jog dials as the other A&H products.
I would have liked 4 volume faders my VCI.
Love everything else.
I reaaaaly got my hopes up for this one, but then i saw this:
http://www.decks.co.uk/products/allen_heath/Xone_DX
Wich it reaaaaly not good. No dedicated controls, for efx means notting good to me :((
Itch 2 should be coming out, and supposedly with effects. I wouldn't rule that out with DX either.
Yeah this is not coincidence .
Itch 2 and A&H DX at the same time.
Totally aimed at the Traktor Pro/Vestax VCI 100 market.
If it does have a soundcard then it will be a serious combo.
That is of course if Itch 2 is actually any good as its got a lot to live up to against Traktor pro.
I still think those 4 buttons at the bottom are to select which deck is controlled not like the 4 buttons on the VCI.
Looks interesting guys. I was on the site comparing mixers and saw this. I'm getting a new controller in 6 weeks so if this turns out to be a good 'un i might get one. wait and see eh.
Sorry to dig this up from a couple of pages down but I'm really excited about this controller and just realised I won't be able to make BPM on the Saturday now.
Could someone who's going give us a bit of an update in the evening maybe with some more details??
I guess A&H will most likely put some more info online on Saturday too but I don't want to leave anything to chance as I'm DESPERATE to know more
Cheers guys
No worries about digging this up jon. ;)
We're excited too! :D
this controller looks very promising... the only thing holding it back is the crappy jog dials (compared to the vci-100)
i see this as a midi controller and mixer hybrid, with an integrated sound card - made for traktor pro, and the new 4 fx banks.
my attempt at a mock-up of what i'd like to see:
forgot to add the pitch faders, and the big blue cue pause, and cue play buttons as pretty obvious from the teaser image provided from A&H.
Nice picture but I think you got it wrong...
According to decks it is an itch controller so it will be 2 decks, and therefore 2 channel soundcard as well.
Looks like something very similar to a vci300 to me, although it should still make a good tPro controller.
take another look at the teaser pic, to me i see 4 upfaders...
http://img11.imageshack.us/img11/4889/xonedx.png
the xone 4d is traktor scratch certified, i dont see why this wouldn't be either. Allen & Heath currently support traktor & ableton. Itch could be added to this list as well, but i see this as a dedicated traktor pro controller.
These are just my speculations, definitely interested in seeing the real unveling...
i'd like one of these but increasingly i'm enjoying playing with itch more than with traktor, the stability and responsiveness are key for me.....i tend to make mixes at home using traktor and play out using itch so i think it's unlikely that i'll be trading in my VCI300 for this - the only thing that could make me change my mind would be if it has a very punchy soundcard in it, which is the one thing that's lacking in the VCI.
Lets hope that its not a propriatory unit that requires a third party software to translate midi, that only Serato understands.
I would have bought the Rane TTM 57 SL months ago if it werent for the ridiculous propriotory nature of this unit.
And dont even get me started on the Stanton SCS....
saw the pic. i'd post it but im on my handheld. go check serato itch forum for details and pic.
anyways:
4 decks, soundcard, possibility to attach external sources, jogs seem bigger than on other d's
edit: xone.co.uk has more info as well

Very interesting still excited to see more knowing that it's going to be Traktor compatible.
I'd be interested to see how they deal with pitch fading as there isn't a traditional fader for that... Maybe those stripes to the right of the jog wheels are touch sensitive?!
It seems quite different from the 1D/2D in terms of the various controls so I'll be interested to see how they map each of those banks of buttons as standard
Bring on Saturday and more information!!
Wow, I stand corrected.
So Itch is going 4 decks, I just sold my 300 was gonna get some cdj2000s..
Not now - deffo going for this - looks awesome :)
finally 4 lines of faders and rotaries for internal mixing, I just bought an external mixer to have that kind of control and seriously felt that this was really anachronistic.
I really wondered why no one really did that before, too bad that it's gonna have an A+H price tag.
f*cking hell, looks like i'll be selling my vci300 as well.....
If this is somewhere in the range of 700 euros or under, it might just be my future weapon of choice.
Here's a better looking picture.http://www.divky.com/upload/xone_dx.jpg
Edit: Anyone else noticed the "20 channel soundcard" part?
Yeah, first thought into my head was, 'damn, do I have to sell my djm800?'
Think I'll hold off til I got a teeny bit more info tho... like, wait for it to be released, and then wait a few months of ppl putting it through it's real wold paces. See how it holds up.
Looks sweet tho (:

Who needs a kidney? Better start mowing more lawns...
Any hi rez pics found would be amazing. Want to see that 20 channel back panel!
Not sure if you guys realise but I'm pretty sure by 20 channel sound card, they're referring to mono ins and outs
e.g. (likely) 4 pairs of stereo inputs (8), 4 pairs of stereo outs (8 more) and some digital ins and outs I guess
Some sort of cross between the Xone 2D and 4D soundcards
