I mean if they dont want em..... :p
That's sad.
Remember kids........ Dj equipment isn't just for Christmas:thumbdown:
My heart :(
That's brutal! Especially with all the room to actually set the second one nice next to the first...:(
That is sad . Respect those legends ! I am sure many people would be overjoyed just to have them ....
Dang that is sad, I love CDJ's but vinyl is special. Heard the other day that vinyl is having a comeback though!
you know I just picked up a set of 2k nexus players and I will admit I enjoy them far and beyond what I thought I would. I actually feel kind of guilty.
That said turntable abuse of such a nature should be a crime.
I sense user frustration, or a bar not knowing what to do with the old stuff they just unplugged. sad indeed. why not mix on everything?
but damn, technology is a wonderful thing,
I recently started spinning after years off. Every time I show up at the party with a crate of vinyl. Everybody starts rolling their eyes and huffing and puffing that they have to dust off the decks and hook it up.
Sad day....but this will be the nearby future for all gear that doesn't have a sync button.
The art of dj'ing (and pure analogue sound) died together with the death of technics & real vinyl !
But the last of the mohicans will stand strong (underground). After the whole 'EDM' (hate that word) hype has cooled off and all controllers are trashed by public burnings...victory is ours and we have our 'house' (love THAT word) back :)
Look what happend to modular synths....
Modular synths are riding in on a second wave. Especially since the eurorack standard has received so much attention. It's also gaining popularity due to nostalgia and modern circuitry designs, which made the cost cheaper (like the Korg monotrons, volcas, Microbrute, etc) .
Hopefully, this trend will be mirrored in the Dj sphere. IMO, vinyl will always be the gold standard.
I was going to sell all my records and buy digital copies of them, but most of them were more rare than I thought. It proved to me that if I were to make a record then it would be beneficial to release the majority of tracks for download but have all the remixes and B sides on a vinyl to nurture each mediums distinct traits: Digital downloads for their accessibility, vinyl for its rarity and individuality.
out with the old in with the new.. mind boggles
Hurts to see about as much as a controller dj using cdj platters as a tabletop for his unit.
What is life

Click that, make sure you're sitting first.
I saw a guy stack two CDJ2000 Nexus to make room for his $500 controller, only he ended up being pretty damn good so it was easy to forgive him.
Eks Otus was designed to sit on top of Technics, even has a hole in the bottom for the spindle ;)
mine are like that when i bye it ^^,250€ the two with a refresh + 200€ working perfect for another new life (about 20 years ) :D
That's sad ...
