Wow. That's some serious dosh you're lookin' to lay out, I spent about 85 euro when I started DJing.
Expensive gear won't make you a good DJ!! your talent, ideas, selection and delivery will.
Buy some cheaper controller or a basic CDJ or Turntable and mixer setup and save your money and practice.
This above all else... you can learn to get good on incredibly minimal hardware. If you have the determination and/or talent, then it won't really matter what gear you use. There is also something to be said for starting with budget gear until you have started to develop your skills and, very importantly, your technique. This will then inform your purchase of nicer gear, as you'll have a better feel for what you need.Quote:

Im of the opinion that you should buy decent stuff that you can resell. Pioneer stuff, rane, ecler and xone have good resell value. Buy and sell used and you wont loose too much if you loose interrsted. Try craigslist or the Buy and sell section on here!
I'm of the opinion that you shouldn't spend money on stuff that looks nice but you're not 100% sure that you can use and love it.
