Serato SL3 and 4 are still available new.
FinalScratch 1.0

Yeah, Ranes too. So nothing software free? I see MixVibes U-Mix 44 here and there, but not sure if the inputs are line or phono level and is it class compliant.
I have a U46DJ, and it is a very good DVS capable soundcard.
I also have a MOTU Ultralite MkII - that is a MONSTER of a DVS capable soundcard (but firewire only).
Both are now just back-ups for my DJM-850, though.
There are TONS of great DVS capable soundcards out there. Any of the Mixvibes ones are great. It all just boils down to what software you're using, and whether or not you're willing to "bend" the rules a little if need be... ;)
A lot of soundcards have (even if it's only software based) Input Gains, allowing you to adjust the line-level to allow for Phono type input.Quote:

Hello. What about M-Audio Connectif/Connective? I'd like to use it as DVS soundcart with Mixxx.
Current configuration: Windows 10 64 bit. Can i use M-Audio drivers on this system without crashes?
i'm looking for a budget solution for my DVS setup. While i use Timecodes i want to switch between Timecoded records and normal records on the fly. Is it possible with this configuration? And what about: Stability, response? I'm also up for different suggestions when it comes to buying a soundcart. Greetings :)
Isn't it discontinued? Can't find new one for sale. Same for the mentioned Maya 44.
New? Please some examples.
How's MixVibes U-Mix 44? Is it class compliant and does not need driver for Mac? Are its inputs phono level? It's an OEM card that was also sold under different brands like American Audio, DJ Tech, Omnitronic etc. Interestingly some of them had a phono/line button but only for one of the inputs (why?).
Software in use would be some of the non locked to a specific soundcard: Mixvibes, Recordbox dvs is working for now or even MIXXX. Also considering ios use.
Would this one work? http://eshop.steinigke.de/en/mpn1035...interface.html
Anyone tried two of these for DVS: http://eshop.steinigke.de/en/mpn1035...interface.html ?
Here is a table of currently available sound cards that lists what preamps they have. In addition to the Denon DS1, Traktor Scratch A6/A10, and Rane SL2/3/4, there is also the ESI Maya 44 USB+, but it doesn't have phono preamps. Considering the price and the lack of technical specifications available, I doubt it sounds as good as any of those other more expensive sound cards. I don't have first hand experience to definitively give an answer about the sound quality though.
Yes, but I'm not sure that a timecode signal requires undoing the RIAA equalization. I think Serato timecode uses a 1 kHz tone. According to the graph on Wikipedia, that coincides with a 0 dB change in the RIAA equalization curve. As for other timecode signals, I'm not sure.
Kinda, but you'd only be able to hook up one turntable to each.
It appears from reading this that there isn't a "Thru" mode for playing vinyl straight from the turntables, if that's what you're asking.
Do it the old school way - "Y" splitters directly from your TT, with one pair going to your sound card (and returning to your mixers "Line" input for a channel, and one pair going directly to your mixer, to the "Phono" input for the same channel.
Then, just hit the Line/Phono switch on the mixer to select audio from your sound card (Line), or directly from your vinyl (Phono).
Afaik there were some cons about this way, certain signal loss I think.
I used that method with Mixvibes (pre-CROSS, MV timecode vinyl frequency 1.3 kHz) and DJ Decks (Serato timecode vinyl frequency 1.0 kHz)with no problems whatsoever.
Does a regular vinyl played thru Y cable sounds the same as if played normally hooked? No gain loss or other sq deterioration?
I never noticed any deterioration. But you'd still have to adjust your gain as normal.
Bumping up this question:
Anyone tried this soundcard for DVS?
OMNITRONIC ADI-002PL
It is available under few different brands.
Behringer UFO 202 has inputs and outputs hardwired for monitoring, making it unusable for dvs unless surgical intervention is performed on the printed board inside, so I wonder if it's the same with the Omnitronic.
That's a good question - and I do not know the answer.
But, the UFO 202 mod is ridiculously easy. Any idiot can do it:

Yeah but I'd rather not.
Another "half a dvs" soundcard could be this http://www.numark.com/product/stereoio Anyone tried?
Ok, Viperfrank did and it works:

Considering you need 2x of those, isn't it better just to buy a used NI Audio 4 or Rane SL1?
Depending on the price and condition that could be an option.
iCON Cube DJ USB-Audio-Interface seems to be another current dvs capable soundcard. And it has 2 phono inputs.
Looks like that one can be had for £63 here in the UK. I've never heard of it, but it might be worth a punt...
What are the experiences with Hercules DeeJay Trim? Looks like a quite good one but I've read output is a bit low. Is that true?
Hello dj geeks community :) i'd like to annouce, that m-audio conectiv works perfectly with win 10 64 bit. I use it with mixxx, latency set to 5 ms, no crackles, no crashes. I also recentli got used esi u46 _xl interface. Is it some rebranded umix 46 interface? I think, that will be capable of dvs too... . Trwa edytowanie.
What control vinyl you use?
Serato control vinyl is the most stable solution i think. Works fine. Open Source idea rocks :D
What are your laptop specs?
Core i7 6700 hq, 16 ram, system works on hdd, not ssd.
