RB DMX 1 Set up questions

Hi all I'm looking at buying this for my lighting set up.
I've seen a demo of it in use and looks great.

Can you switch between the lights activated by RB and other effects easily.? What I mean is say when I want to play just background music I don't want the lights doing all their transitions to songs so I might just want a show of of basic lights or static lights and then later switch to full active mode?

My lighting set up will vary depending on the event so is it possible to create profiles for what lights will activate? E. G might have just 2 moving heads or 2 par cans or 2 heads and 4 cans etc?

Any tutorials you can recommend to get the most out of it?
