music vision needs the right tools!!

so i have a fairly specific idea in mind, and have had trouble finding the right mix of controllers/pedals/pads to achieve this. basically im getting a vci 100 w/ sound card for conventional djing, but i also want to be able to mix in live or prerecorded drum beats, bass/synth lines, samples etc. so i was checking out the akai lpd8 and lpk25 and my dream machine would be if those actually internalized the setting you programmed, so you could load a synth scale on one bank, drum sounds on another, effects on another etc and then just hit it to work, instead of just as a controller (plus some type of loop deal but that could be seperate). im also checking out mpcs and the kaosspad and whatnot. so if this makes any sense, please lead me in the right direction!

Take a look at DJing with Ableton Live. Honestly sounds like it could be up your alley. There are a slew of specific controllers for that as well.
