MPD or Midifighter?
So, I've heard a lot of good things about both Akai MPD26 and the Midifighter, and I'm looking to buy one of the two. I'm a bit new to digital Dj'ing though, so despite my abuse of google, I still don't have a totally clear idea on what the two do... :(
I'd appreciate if you guys could enlighten me on the potential of these two nice looking machines and ultimately, which one I should get.
Thanks in Advance!

The MPD is more catered to triggering drum samples with it's pressure and velocity sensitive pads. Plus it has faders and knobs to control parameters in Abelton. Those same faders and knobs can be programmed in Traktor as well since the MPD is essentially just a midi controller. The MF is geared more towards beat juggling and triggering FX in Traktor, but works equally well in Abelton. If you're producing I would look at the MPD, but if you're just DJ'ing the MF is the way to go. The responsiveness of the MF arcade buttons blow anything else out of the water.

Hmm...
I suppose I'll get the MF first, but I MPD could be good for some time in the future.

I use my Midifighter for drums. I don't like velocity, as I go back in with my mouse and do that later... So yea... Just get a second midifighter instead ;D

thinking of getting the mpd26 myself. looks like a nice piece of equip
