Triggering and beat-matching custom visuals with audio output from traktor?

Hey guys

Ive been trying to solve this puzzle for a while now, and there are several ways I could do it but I wanted to ask someone who knows more than I do.

I want to have some external software that will take midi signals in in order to trigger custom visuals in .avi format, but also take audio input from traktor and beat/tempo match it with the visuals. Perhaps even apply effects?

Feeding the audio into the software would be easy enough as I can just take output from my speakers and plug that into my audio interface connected to my laptop via XLR cable.

The idea is to do it all live too.
