heh, some of youse non english need a history lesson. DNB and Breaks are both derivatives of Hardcore - pyaw ninety two style innit. :D Hardcore was the root mashup of reggae, dub, techno, breaks and hip hop. Ardcore will never die!! :p

Still can't tell the difference between Hardstyle and gabba.
Outside of teh danse music, i mostly listen to IDM - Aphex, 90's ambient, skam records, boards of canada, DFA, !!!, dance punk, plaid, black dog, eletroclash, ardcore, nu-disco that kinda thing. Tiga's new single is rocking my world right now.

That and old skool Italo house. Big time!
Oh yeah - you said no house.
I'm pretty sure the best way to describe Gabber (which I just spelled as Bagger... huh) and Hardstyle is that Hardstyle has more synths and Gabber is more of just drums and samples and usually darker.
Hardstyle is a cleaner bassy beat with melodies that support the bass is the best way I describe that. Gabber is usually crazier, not as clean, both very awesome, but I still prefer the hardstyle. Actually come to think of it. Gabber is like Industrial Hardstyle lol!
I was always curious if this was considered hardstyle or hard trance (or something else for that matter). I always kinda liked it because it has like this driving melody thats still... well... partially melodic (see around 2:00)

Or this one... give to about three minutes in... I dig the melody :D
