Rekordbox DVS issues
Hi everyone!
Was looking some expertise on an issue I have with my rekordbox control vinyl.
I have a DDJ-RZ with a reloop RP-7000 TT. Cartridge I'm using is Ortofon Pro S.
Everything on TT is calibrated correctly. I've calibrated the DVS scope but the circles still look a little distorted. Although playback and audio is fine.
But the issue I'm getting is that the BPM is fluctuating on its own randomly about +1/-1 BPM whenever the vinyl is being played.
Its impossible to beat match as the song is slightly going slower and faster all the time.
Would anyone know what's causing this?
Tracking issuse? Or dodgy stylus maybe?
Or the cartridge im using?
I've raised the issue at pioneer and seems a few people have had this issue, although pioneer don't seem quick with an answer.
Any help would be appreciated, thank you
Regards

Are you using the Pioneer Control Vinyl or Serato Control VInyl?
-
Hi, I'm using rekordbox control vinyl.
Any other brand would send a different timecode signal and wouldn't work.
-
Are you having the same problems beatmatching using a real vinyl record?
FYI RekordboxDJ DVS also works with Serato timecode signal, that's why we're asking ;)
-
Yeah ive used normale vinyl and seems fine 😔
Oh serato control vinyl works on rekordbox? Sorry, my bad lol
I just thought the different signal applied to all brands lol

What is your soundcard latency. Only way I was able to replicate the issue was by turning my latency above a total of 11ms.

Also make sure your tone arm contacts are clean. slight ground hum or missing a channel will cause the same issue.
Also if your bass is coming through the platter and being picked up by the needle, itll cause an issue in any software.

Ahh right okay. I have it set to 2.2Ms.
I have a macbook pro i7. There's no CPU issues at all but I'll give it a try above 11ms in a minute.
So did you have the same problem?

Just tried it all the way up to 23Ms and still does the same.
Really strange 🤔🤔🤔

I had the issue above 11ms, not below. :-p
