...I recommend trying the 3.1.0 beta drivers from NI's website. if you haven't already. Previously when I tried to plug an Audio 2 into a USB 3.0 slot, it would Blue-screen my laptop, and now it appears to work with no problem at all. I know that others have had various problems allegedly related to USB 3.0, so it might be worth a shot if you suspect distortion/crashes or something similar might be USB 3.0 related.
