high output latency audio 2 dj and osx

just to ask, why i have this high latency? i can't think of any fix for it.
Mbp 10.6.7
Last audio 2 dj drivers

8.7ms isn't high.

you can lower it if you want though.

If you set the sample rate higher you can get lower ms BUT WATCH THAT CPU METER!
But 8.7 is still good, read the blog post on here about latency. I play at like 10ms but still dont have a problem

8.7 is better than mine.

I know its good, in Windows i was playing at 10 ms but why if processig is low the output latency is at 5.8? In Windows that was lower, but i had higher processing latency

Because the signal has to go from the soundcard, back to the CPU, processed and then back to the soundcard. That shit takes time, yo. Jesus Christ, kids these days. I remember playing with a 500ms lag in Team Fortress Classic against the LPBs.

Don't worry so much about the latency. Anything under 20ms is pretty much irrelevant.

I know i know, it was only a tecnical question.
Because in Windows with a buffer of 512 i was having 10 ms, high procession latency but low output latency, and i was asking why in Mac ( with a lower buffer) i'm having lower procession latency but an higher one in output, i tought osx was better than Windows in this.
