Hi SashNewbee, it depends on what you are planning to control with it? it seems that it has a good resolution, the fader is motorized and you can control your DAW (complete transport panel as well as basic mixing parameters: Pan..), just check that your DAW supports HUI / Mackie Control Universal Emulation.

The Faderport is cool, in theory, though I found myself not using it very often and it collected dust.
