does anyone know if something similar to the traktor beatmasher is available as a VST? The Ableton beatmasher is really different, much subtler and i'd like to use something like the brutal traktor version in remixing.
Cheers

Dblue Glitch is friggen awesome, i heard even daft punk uses it in their live sets. Honestely i don't know how true that is but that glitch is an awesome plug no matter how you look at it.
I like glitch a lot, but it is no supplement for beat masher. The rot and gate make BtMshr a fantastic tool if you can get it right. Glitch always (funny enough) glitches after using it for more than 10 minutes on my comp and then crashes. I've never heard of the others mentioned though.
Theres is also SupaTrigga - http://bram.smartelectronix.com/plugins.php?id=6
Pretty decent pluggy :)
Problem with Db Glitch and Supatrigga is that they're too random - if you're doing some glitch you want something with more control over.
Mate of mine has some custom ones he made in Synth Edit which is fricking great. Each key does a different catch - 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128 - sounds great, but he won't give it to me >:(
Artillery is the closest i've found, but even that still doesn't do what i want it to...
Still need to try that one, have it on my harddisc for ages, still no install?
Don't know about Supatrigga, but Glitch can be as controlled as you like. It sometimes just takes ages, but at the end you will have a brilliant result!
wicked, i'll try these guys out anyhow. I'm trying to free myself from traktor's fx somehow so i can run traktor into ableton and run the fx there, but i want the beatmasher
You can keep 1 traktor effect that you like, that could be the Traktor beat masher - its a worth effect to keep the rest are not as special i think :)
