But I can BET that 90% or even more of the people who are "liking" and enjoying radio top 40 shit wouldn't like it if it wasn't popular.
As they are not interested in music as much as us, artists, they don't try to develop their taste, they don't spend hours on Beatport, YouTube or Zippyshare as we do to find gems, pieces of art.
They eat the soup they get easily, from the radio, because they don't have the will to go more in depth.
I'm sure that inside of them, most of them would TRULY enjoy other stuff (artists/genres), but they are not given the chance to listen to that stuff, because radio, MTV etc are all ruled by profit, over musical quality.
