Next on the list is a proper flight case for teh mixer, then we shall look into picking up a TR-8 :)
T, no modding was needed for that case, just cutting a bit of the foam for a snug fit.

Waiting on a whole bunch of cables & knobs to arrive from DJTT (Black Friday), and just ordered the Odyssey FZGS12MIX Flightcase for the Denon, not cheap ($320 NZD) but worth it ...

great setup, total control.
That Flightcase with the mixer in it is one heavy SOB for a shrimp like me to lug around (45.7 Lbs / 21.5 Kgs)
Pretty cool update J
TOTAL CONTROL indeed!
Best gear investment i ever made.
I call bull shit.Quote:

Waiting on this 512gb SSD to arrive then i will have an update with the new mothership !
First picture rocks...Dude , it reminds me of my childhood , when i mixed 2 tracks for the first time :p
Great setup.
Upgraded from the cheap ass microphone we had to a decent AT2020 studio jobbie plus a better cable, should be here before the weekend.
Update. So it turns out my mixer does not supply 48v from the mic inputs so i just ordered a power supply (2 weeks later, still have not used the mic lol)

Just recorded my show with the new AT2020 setup (finally), very impressed. Bit of a step up from the $20 fake SM58 i was using for sure, also dragged some lamps out of the shed for some moooood lighting !

You can't go wrong with some lava lamps ;)
One of those lava lamps embedded itself in the wall behind the desk when we had the big earthquake. TV fell down twice but the rest of the gear, rock solid. Big shout to Odyssey & Crane :)
Small update. Proper boom and shock mount for under $40 NZD. Big spender.

Future updates will probably be the X1's. "Lefty" is showing its age after 7 years of abuse :)
If you are looking for a mk1 and cant find one in NZ I can hook you up. I have 2 just sitting there looking pretty.
The bro just bought a DJM450. Our '600 has to go into the shop for surgery. Should have a pic of his studio soon.

I have friends who rave about this mixer purely for the USB recording function. Have you tried to record a mix with it yet?
When i head over to melbourne in june i will :)
Going over for a week and playing here, OOO EEEEEEE

Whoever came up with "Ad Nauseam" as an artist name is an utter genius.
Heading over next week. Guess i'll have to hit him up about it :)
So i'm back in NZ after an awesome 10 Days in Melbourne, and two completely different gigs in two nights. The first, a fantastic masquerade ball up the 89th floor of the Eureka Tower ...

And the second, the night after out in the bush god knows where ... pretty cool (literally, fookin' freezing) but we just did our 3 hour darkpsy set from 12 - 3 ish and snuck off in the morning once we sobered up a bit. Two hard nights in a row a bit much for this ol' bugger..

Aye!
Needed something better to power the mic and run our speakers. Plus good for non DJ parties & Netflix lol (overkill much?).

The reason i decided to get the ZED6FX (plus a whole bunch of cables) is primarily to run the PA system (Wharfedale Pro EVP-15P's), and secondly as a better option for running my Mic at home. The Denon does not have 48v phantom power, and the power supply i was using was cheap and nasty. However, to monitor both the main mix and the mic at the same time, the console is routed back into channel 3 on the denon (via XLR to RCA).
For parties, the console gets the main out from the denon (or whatever mixer) and we still have a spare input for another mixer etc.
Just did the first show using the Zed6 running the mic, the dedicated low cut is a godsend. Took a bit of tuning to get the levels right but super happy :)
Have a week or so free so check out the videography skillz :p
