MidiFighter + Ableton?

So, im real new to djing. (this is my first post to this forum). But I'm planning on using a combination of a VCI-100SE and Traktor Kontrol X1 to start myself out. down the line i wanna start producing, and i have a friend who already does, so im looking for controllers to launch ableton clips with. I know about the launchpad and APC's, but I was wondering if anyone has thought about mapping a Midifighter to launch clips in ableton, and if so how has it work out as a controller in that respect. Since it is cheaper then all the other options and I could customize it to be unique. Plus i love to give back to DJTT for teaching me all it has about djing so far.

I have used the MIDIfighter to work simpler drumracks, was quite cool.

Just map and go.
