vestax Spin Vs. Typhoon for mapping

hi everyone.

let me make myself perfectly clear. Am as amateur as one can be.

i haven't decided yet which one i should buy to use along with my macbook pro and traktor pro... spin is mac only, but typhoon is mac/pc.

logic tells me to get the Spin, but i've seen a lot of people complaining about having to "map it" and this being a pain... that said, the typhoon comes with traktor LE, which means it's probably traktor pro ready as well.

will i be saving myself a lot of hassle by getting the typhoon instead of the spin ?
i want my buttons to do what they say they do! meaning - each function on each one doing what they're named on the console.

so... Spin or Typhoon ?

I would say Spin, unless your planning in getting a PC. There's good mappings out there now for both so that's not really an issue, but it is an option.

First of all I need you all to know....i am a begainer to the core of the word.
with that being said.. i have had the spin and i now have the typhoon.
spin works with mac & dj3. it controles all of the functions and it is powered (IT SPINS) (the typhoon does not.) you can record with the spin (typhoon doesn't). the spin has auto cue (typhoon doesn't)The spin is $249.00 @ the apple store and comes with dj3 software. the TYPHOON is $299.00 and comes with traktor LE.
I just got my typhoon less than 24 hrs ago. but these are the first things that was noticed. I don't know what difference all of the above will make. but i would like a proghram to (like DJ3) to run my typhoon on... i do not know anything about mapping. HELP PLEASE.... THE BEGAINER!
