Default Did a realtime remix (inc video), DJ Tim - S&M (HouseQ Extended)!

I did a realtime/live remix of an awesome track from Rihanna. Before continue to read ---> A movie tells more then thousands...images (and even more words )

Live remix of Rihanna - S&M!! Not only live remixed, but also a live view on my gear while recording this!

It was the first try recording this on the fly, of course some samples where prepped before starting this movie, but still everything else is performed 'live'! Also note that I didn't prep a mix-set, so the order of the sampling etc is just while being creative on the fly, yeah!

The software used is Traktor Pro together with my Akai APC40, Akai APC20, DDM 4000, 2 screens, Camtasia recording the screen, webcam and more IT shit

The counter track (more its samples I've cut) you're hearing the bass from is Jordan Peak - Body Double.

Let me know your thoughts on this live performance ?

    Cool.

I don't particularly care for the original song, but I think you did a nice job here. I'm curious why you used both an apc40 and an apc20? I'm assuming you used one or both of them to trigger cue points?

Also I thought at times the other vocal sample you used clashed with the rihanna vocals, but at other times it worked well.

Nice job though. Always like to see people doing 'live' remixes like this.

If you think of S4 software instead of Pro... would that ring a bell...? (couldn't wait for the T2 stuff, did buy Pro a long time ago but really wanted the S4 stuff as well. Can't wait to buy that T2 !!)

And you're correct about the voice-sample, it's not really useful together with those other vocals, but it sounds real nice as a break before the bass comes back in.

Never to old to learn I guess

I'm curious as to what controls what, basically.
