Default Having issues with installing Maschine Drivers

I'm borrowing my friends Maschine, and I've downloaded and installed the drivers, and Windows says it's good to go but it's not lighting up or working. Tried restarting my laptop and still nada.

    Any ideas?

Are you using it as a midi controller or with the Maschine software? Does it say Maschine on the display? Are you hitting shift+control to get it into midi mode?

Tried a different port, and I'm pretty sure the cable works because he was here last night and we were using the same cable on his laptop.

I'll give it a try anyways.

Nope, not the cable, Just went to my control panel, and it says it's connected and working properly as well so now I'm even more confused
