Default APC40 Instant Gratification Mapping Problem

    Hi,

Recently I've been attempting to map the Instant Gratification mapping to my APC's clip matrix. I wanted to set it up so that on one half, I have a grid controlling deck A, and on the other a grid controlling deck B.

Deck A is working fine, all effects and everything... I used the .tsi and basically remapped all the midi notes to the buttons on my APC. However, I tried to do the same thing on deck B (using the same commands I remapped for Deck A) and all that happens is that effects units just keep switching themselves off and nothing happens...

Does anyone know how to fix this?

u did map different notes for deck B i presume? i.e: the midifighter bank 2 notes. if u used the mac equivalent of midi-ox and pasted here the dump of you pressing a button on bank1 and the same button on bank2 then that should help.

Yes, the notes I mapped for deck b were the different notes in the grid next to the deck A mapping. However, I just looked over the tsi and it doesn't seem to have any of the notes from banks 2,3 and 4 of the midifighter in it...

So essentially what I'm trying to use for decks a and b are the exact same mapping, just assigned to different notes on my controller.

Will post a midipipe dump once I download and figure out how to use it

Had a look at the notes on the clip matrix and for example, buttons corresponding to the same place on both 'midifighters' on the matrix are the same midi note, but through a different channel. Would this make a difference to the mapping requirements?

    THANKYOU
You have solved all my problems!! How long did it take you to map the instant grat. effects? I was also shadily thinking of mapping a midifighter pro mapping to my APC...

It took a really long time to understand how all the modifiers in their mapping worked, but once I figured that out transferring the mapping to my apc was a breeze. Please bear in mind, my version is sort of a diet version. I was unable to include the hold functions and the super combos. Hopefully I can work those into my next version of the collision mapping. P.s I'm in the process of recording a video tutorial of my mapping. It's should be online this afternoon.

Ah fair enough. Is there any reason you didn't just 'copy/paste' the values in like I did with the APC? I also just road tested your mapping and I was wondering, have you changed the effects on the instant grat? The beatmash buttons on mine are activating flanger at various rates...

That'd be great, definitely watch it. Trying to create a perfect Traktor controller out of an APC is pretty complicated, gutted that Djtechtools haven't made a map!

I didn't copy and paste because i have so many extra modifiers in my mapping (to create the various performance modes) that it was less confusing to just redo the whole thing from scratch. Crazy, i know. I just posted Collision mapping 1.1 in the same thread. This fixed the FX selection errors and i added fullscreen toggle to the Shift key. Hope it works for you! Here's the link one more time...http://www.djtechtools.com/forum/showthread.php?t=40247
