replaced DDM4000 for VMS4?
Hello,
I Would like to get into the mix with 4 deck.
Because with the DDM4000 I mix in 2 deck with sampler, so I was wondering if the VMS4 would adapt for 4 chanel mixing
Currently I have two DJTech Kontrol One with AUDIO 6 DJ and DDM4000
If the VMS4 is suitable. How should I do to use it with Traktor?
Thank you in advance

I would not change to vms4...
Why don't you keep your DDM4000 and use your audio 6 with 4 mono outs?
You have two stereo RCA
Get output A left to channel 1, output A right to channel 2, output B left to channel 3, output B right to channel 4.
Go to your traktor preferences and make it external and turn them all to mono
On your DDM4000 put all channels on analog and you are done
Your other option is to keep your DDM4000 and buy a proper 4 stereo RCA outs (8 outs), there are plenty of options both firewire and USB...

keep your ddm, the vms4 is pretty flawed (search the forums)

thank you for information, I will do as v-off, with the chain in mono, because I can not change the sound card because I just bought it on DJTT

Good luck and try to give us some feedback on the quality of audio and the loudness of them playing on mono instead of stereo, please
Maybe you can measure it by using one channel on mono with only one RCA and one channel on stereo with two rcas, just for comparation. Can you feedback you general feeling of the output?
I'm thinking of doing the same as you, buy a DDM4000 and use an Audio4 with 4 mono outs for 4 decks...

I did as you told me to do, and with the deck is mono There's only a slight decrease in volume, not so embarrassing. with my hercules and my Kontrol One is great, I created special mapping for my controller and it works in 4 deck .

Nice that worked julius, thanks for the feedback.
Remember that in external mixing mode you can still change EQ settings if you find that you need some EQ adjustments into the software to compensate shitty EQs on the DJ booth.

no problems anyway I'll buy a Nuo 4.0 or Vestax PMC 280
