    Default APC20 Mapping - Traktor Pro 2

Hey, it toke a while but as requested; the TSI / Midi Mapping for the brand new Traktor Pro 2 !!

If you have an APC40 you should go to the APC40 mapping first (although you won't benefit from the sample decks with that, it still gets the most out of 2 channels, FX, cues and more, check out that mapping in this post -> http://www.djtechtools.com/forum/sho...769#post151769)

But if you have an Akai APC20 in addition to your normal set, or you've created the ultimate APC80 beast, or you just want to use the APC20 to control your additional and new sample decks (deck 3 and 4) in Traktor Pro 2, then this TSI midi mapping is the one for you!

Note: This is a first beta version of this mapping, I'll add more functionality ASAP, but just wanted to let you play with this already!

    No filters?
you could map the filters on soft takeover to the faders too, and make a modifier button. (master button for instance).
nobody likes soft takeover, but I know I like filters.
maybe a modifier button next to the loop recorder controls. to load from the loop recorder.
and size up and down buttons?

    just some ideas.
cant wait till I get my apc 40 (and maybe 20).
how is the combination working out for you?

Thanks for the tips/suggestions, as this is still a beta version (with lot of free controls to use) I'll continue to upgrade this mapping with new functionality.

I didn't use FX stuff because I think most APC20's will be used next to digital mixers, other controllers and/or a APC40 (like I do), and therefore this mapping will only support maximum use of the sample decks and no FX. Although at the end some controls could be used with modifiers to still be able to use FX. By the way; you can already turn on FX1,2,3 and 4 with this mapping, but the control of the FX should go via another controller for now.

The combination is working out great !!!!! Check out my vid's in my youtube channel to view some vids of me using the APC40 and APC20 together with my mappings ! see http://www.youtube.com/timhification

    Hi Timio....

I have the APC80....and use your original mapping for the APC40 on it....duplicated for the APC20.

    I have deck A and C on the 40 and B and D on the 20.

What I want to do is clear up Deck D (Last half of the APC20) to be the sample deck.

So Basically is the normal decks for A B and C....and then I have cleared all the commends for deck D. So its ready to be setup for sampling.

My question is, how will I go about only using your map for deck D?

I think I should load the file up to the APC20....(Standalone) and then remove all references to SampleDeck3.....that will leave only Sample deck4....on the last half of the APC20 (where I want it)....save the TSI and then load up with my Master Map for the APC80.

Save the lot after than ...as my temp master TSI for the APC80 and test.

Think that will work...if it makes sense to you at all?

It is a great start I plan on using a similar mapping to both this and your APC40 mapping. The APC 40 is almost done and then I need to begin work on the 20. Although mine will be fully fleshed out with many modes/layers.

You never did respond to my request to look at your .PNG files but it's ok I worked it out myself, for the most part. Good job on the mappings I will be sure to make a point about your mapping when I post mine.

    YEAAAAHHAAAAAAAAA!

    Timmio....again ...THANKS!

I know have your original APC40 mapping running on 3 of my decks and now added the Sample Deck map for the APC20 for Deck D.

    Fucking Awesome start!

I just added some load from commands to load from my deck A and B and from the List.
I have a foot pedal from the loop recorder and your map loads that up to the sample deck nicely.

Just needs some more lil tweaks...but its sweet!

Thanks again for the work done!
