Can anyone help me recreate this bassline sound (R3hab)

Hey all. R3hab has this sick, crunchy, gritty, bassline in his new Katy Perry Remix.

the sound starts at 1:28. But its not the high part. Listen closely and below is a very raw bassline that is layered over the lead topline. I can't recreate it to save my life and I'm curious if anyone could help. thank you.

"Sounds like a big fat detuned saw, probably with a bit of noise osciallator as well run through some distortion and heavily compressed. The legato is an important aspect to the sound as well."

thanks for the help. I've actually seen all of those videos. Ive definitely done my share of searching I just cant seem to get the sound that crunchy.
