How to make music wave animations in YouTube

I find it really impressive when I see a track posted on Youtube with a moving wave type animation like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6FK68ipLr6U

How exactly was that generated from the audio and fitted on a logo like that? Does anyone know how to do something like this?
