Kontrol S2 Midi Mode map glitch?
What happens that when i go on midi mode to start mapping i need to press the button twice to make it work?
Changing it to hold fixes this, but if i need my CUE button as a HOLD it won't work, i would have to press it to play the track then press it again to get back to the CUE, i can't mash it quickly to get that one word effect out of acapellas that i like to get.
Also if the button doesn't have a hold function, like the loop set (that big knob you press on the S2) i would have to press it 2 times to set the loop then 2 times to go out of it, this could easily make me lose my loop point in the middle of a playing track.

Because you probably didn't specify/change with the controller editor what each control should do (the external software used to set up all the midi messages and channels in midi mode)

There’s also an almost hermetic community that exists in many areas of dance music, where serious hobbyists feed off each other’s expertise but barely connect to the industry – despite many of those involved actually working in it.

The correct one would be gate i assume?

Another question, in MIDI MODE, say i'm trying to copy the DJTT mapping but without the jog effect controls, what modifier should i use to get the 2nd function out of buttons that i use modifiers in the default mapping, since shift doesn't work in MIDI mode.

1/ Nope I don't have a S2
2/ yes gate
3/ Not exactly, the shift button(s) works, it's an integrated built-in modifier in midi mode, pressing it changes the midi messages for all the other buttons on a layer, it frees you up two slot modifiers in a way as it's not the same message sent. If it works like the S4.

Nope, it doesn't work like the S4, anyway thanks alot, i think i'm done with my 4 deck MIDI mode mapping, now i have to figure out a way to map a Deck C button to control deck C individually like in the S4.

Ok, interesting to know. I'll assume it may be because you press shift+shift to go into midi mode?

What about Jog wheel smoothness? in Midi MODE the jogwheel ain't as smooth as in default map. When i say smooth i mean it isn't as accurate (not for scratching) but for seeking position, say i wanted to position just a bit before a transient, it is impossible to get this close..
