    Default M Audio Xponent/Torq 2.0 Question

Hey guys, sorry for this question, I'm kind of new to the forum. I was wondering if anybody by a chance knows about the M Audio Xponent and Torq 2.0, if they could answer an important question. As I have been learning and using the M Audio Xponent along with Torq 2.0 for the few months that I have had them, I have been having some trouble pre cueing my tracks as I am mixing during my set. On each deck of the Xponent, there is a headphone button, and I assume that is to put the sound of that deck into the headphones so as the cross fader is moved all the way over to the other side of the deck, I am able to hear the other track on the other deck through the headphones without the dance floor/master speakers hearing it. I have done pretty much everything I know how to do. I am sure it has something to do with software that I am doing wrong, and not the hardware. Any advice?

    Thanks

Hey dllo and welcome to the forums. I recently switched to serato itch but used torq for about 8 years so I'll try and get this resolved for you. The first thing I would do is to simply try and re-assign the button. To do this, just right-click the "headphone icon" for "deck A" (icon is located in the mixer section on each side of the word "cue") and then press the headphone cue button on the xponent. Do this for "deck b" as well. If that doesn't work, go into the "preferences" menu and make sure the hardware settings under the "audio" tab are set correctly for the section that says "auido device" (should read "M-audio xponent" or something like that) and the "cue bus output" section (I don't remember what it should say as I sold my xponent recently). Play around with those settings and you should fix it. If none of that works, then go to "preferences"-->"midi"--> and then reset the mapping for the xponent back to default. If THAT doesn't work, then clear the mapping and re-import it. One of these should clear up your problem. If it doesn't, don't hesitate to post back and ask for help. Goodluck

Thank you so much. I will work on it and ask you with any further questions that I have.
