    Default Cdj's pioneer 350 v 400 info x

Right so after careful concideration I have decided to add some cdj's to my collection (already own stanton str8-150's). I did consider going for a controller (and there is still a slight chance I might) but I just wanted to have a way off adding more music to my collection and try a few different genres ( all except dubstep )

At first I was just going to buy any cdj but after researching it is clear to see that the pioneer range is certainly the better make to purchase but at the same time one of the most costly!

The cdj's I was considering were the 350 & the 400 and I appreciate the 400 is the older deck but how does this compair to the the 350. The leap in price (second hand value) is considerable between the two decks
350 costing Ģ650+ and the 400 coming in around the Ģ400-450 mark!

Is there much difference between the decks or would I still be getting an adequate deck in the 400.

Anybody had the privellage to use either of the decks?

I appreciate some may say save up and get the best pioneer deck going but all I am is a conservatory dj playing for my own enjoyment and occasionally with friends at bbqs or house party's so really can't see the point in spending mega coin on equipment. But at the same time my friends are recognised local dj's so with me becoming more familiar with cdj's this may give me the opportunity to maybe get out there and have a chance to play at a local venue!

Anyhow any info on this equipment would be brill

    (all except dubstep) smh.

anyway. i played on both of them for a bit and can't remember much... they did what they were supposed to do

what i gathered from reading on the internet, people were complaining about jog wheels getting stuck or something liek that on the 400s and overall build quality of the 350s.

the question is: what do you need the CDJs for? because i think that for 650 quid you could find some used 1000 mk3s in good condition which would be a lot better choice IF you don't need that USB/Midi stuff.

found this in like 15 seconds.

The cdj400 has the jet/flanger FXs which the 350 hasnīt anymore. But the 350 can play from usb sticks, is rekordbox compatible and can be used as midi controller AND sound interface!
The 350 looks more plastic but the feeling of 350 and 400 are comparable. But they donīt feel as good like their big brothers (900/2000).
I prefer the 350 over the 400! And I didnīt regret that i bought the newer version instead of the old/discontinued cdj400.

CdJ 350 loads songs quicker to. Also hid in mixvibes, which is pretty cool.
It's not the gear. It's how you use it.

If you don't practice you don't want it.

I like the idea of going with second hand 1000's a lot better.

Just for the record, the 400 can be used as a sound interface too.
