Default Morning Coffee (Original Mix - Free d/l)

My latest creation, reminding me of the jolt I need and get from my morning coffee.

I'm finding myself becoming more obsessive/picky about my productions - which may or may not be a good thing. I'm also incorporating more hardware synths into these bad boys which I'm finding to be a lot more fun to program than soft synths.

Enjoy, and as always, I love feedback both good and bad.

very nice, good production, very chicago vibey to it, like it alot...maybe could do with being a bit punchier in the mastering, be a major pain to mix this in a dj set... good work

Thx for the listen and the feedback folks.

I went back and forth with how much punch to give the kick. I snagged it out of a sample and had it a lot more punchy, but probably tend to err on the lower side of punch because the car test - my car has a highly exaggerated bass stereo and punchier kicks, especially 808's seem to be just too much. I had an earlier version with a lot more punch to it, but didn't really like the sound in my car. That and I still have little to no clue about mastering. Looking forward to sending a few of my tunes to Terekith for his services...

Re-worked this a bit based on the feedback I got. Adjusted some compressors and EQs to give the kick more punch, upped the bassline a bit in parts and overall upped the mid-high frequencies to give it some more brightness and energy.

Not overly stoked with soundcloud's processing on this, so this may be the last free d/l production I put out there. May just post the wavs from here on out minus the download because IMO, a lot of the punch that got added disappeared w/ Soundcloud's processing of the mp3.

Still soundin' pretty sweet in spite of their processing.
