Default Issue with brightness on my S4

i have had my s4 for about 2 years now, and ive started to have an issue with the lighting. Every time turn it on, it proceeds to act normal until i open traktor, then all the lights dim to a point where i can only see them in the dark. ive tried messing the the brightness in the preferences as well as changed usb cables, power cord, and reinstalled/updated traktor completely and still no solution. any other trouble shooting tips im missing?

Are you using the external power supply? If so, double check that it is actually working. The plug is interchangeable, check to make sure it's fully seated.

would go with the power supply too... It is designed to dim if it's not connected. You will also notice the headphone cue will be lower than normal.

i am using the power supply. i have also tried replacing the power supply. I will try and get a video later to show you all. I actually turned it on this morning and everything was fine until i got about two songs into my session, then the brightness went low again. I then unplugged the power supply and plugged it back in and it stayed lit for about 20 seconds, then dimmed again.

Maybe it's the power connector on the controller side then. (So long as you used two different NI approved power supplies)
How does the sound output get effected on the headphone jacks? Does it seem quieter when the lights dim?
