Default S2 MKII to play out of laptop speakers?

I've just bought an S2 and am not familiar with it yet and since I also have yet to buy monitors I can't use it. How do i go about having it play through my laptop speakers? I have a macbook pro.

Only way would be to connect a cable from S2 rec/booth/main out into your laptop's line-in input.

At the audio setup tab in traktor preferences you simply change the kontrol s2 as audio device and you chose "built-in soundcard"

It will work this way but you won't be able to use headphones.

There is no need to use the S2's soundcard at all.

I have the S2 setup with the "main" output running through the "monitor" plug in the front of the unit...and I listen with headphones. That makes for better practice once the kiddos are sleeping.

Alternatively, you can just setup the laptops sound interface as the "main" output.
