Kontrol S8 HID and MIDI mode

So it seems that you cant remap buttons and knobs in HID mode on the S8. Thats a real buzzkill!!
I dont use remix decks that much, i was hoping to use the extra faders and knobs for FX units 3 and 4......
Would a Midi mode mapping and HID map work together ? Or would i have to map EVERYTHING from scratch in Midi mode ?

It's my understanding that you have to remap everything and will never get the screens to work right. I'd be skeptical about the touch sensitivity as well.

The knobs below the screen can already be set to control fx units 3 and 4. You use the 4th button from the top at the sides of the screen to choose what they do, and those effects units are one of the options. Just set them there the first time use that fx device and leave them, and I don't think they'll reset.

As for the faders, I don't think there's anything else you can do with them. Honestly, that's most of why I didn't buy an S8...not so much because you can't re-map it as because no other mapping I can think of really jumped out as making sense to me. I could think of things to do with the controls....just not much that I actually care to do.
