    Default Traktor sending MIDI-out signal when reaching cue points?

    For Traktor 2 to trigger actions in Max / Cycling '74 when a playing track reaches certain cue points it seems neccessary for Traktor to send out MIDI signal when reaching cue points. Is this functionality available in Traktor? Is it documented somewhere? If not, are there workarounds available?

    Thanx!
    Sam.

    Not possible. I asked about it a while ago.

    You *could* bodge it by midi syncing Ableton + Traktor, and setting up dummy clips in Ableton that correspond with the tracks that you are playing in Traktor. But like I said - that's quite a big bodge, and would take a while to implement (but it WOULD work...)

    Hoo, boy, it would be a pain to maintain that for every track in your setlist, though, even if you DO maintain a tightly curated collection.

    If you're on Mac try enable internal midi driver. The signal is definitely coming trough - try if the MIDI driver can pick those signals out of the Cue Type command. Than you can ether rout them back in to Traktor and for example trigger some sample cell at the same time with passed cue or forward it elsewhere.

    Stewe - I think he's asking for when the cue point is passed (passively), not hit by the user.

    I think you can get midi out command only for the track end warning (and that is adjustable) but that is no where near like cue points...

    Yeah that's my bad, I managed to do it earlier but now I remember that it was possible only with Loop markers because there is a Loop Set command that engages automatically once the marker is reached.

    There was a modifier increasing value (0>1>2>0) in a real quick sequence so your track doesn't end stuck in the loop:
    value=0: Set Loop
    value=1: None (there should be a bit delay between messages)
    value=2: Exit Loop

    Default Midi mapping available?

    @stewe Thanks for this tip, we are working on it. Would be of great help if you could export/share the midi mapping about this solution, if still living somewhere on you harddrive??
