Default Digital Setup...Z1, F1, Maschine, S2, etc - Need opionions

Like many old guys trying to scratch the itch, considering getting something to play around with at home. Used logic and Ableton for a long time and don't have the time to produce but want to mess with stems and such so thinking going with a Ni setup.

    Considering these options:

    - Z1 and F1
    - Z1 and Maschine
    - S2 and Maschine
    - S2 and F1

Would prefer not to spend too much and also want something I won't get bored with but isn't too crazy of a learning curve.

    Forget Maschine.

Any of your other options would be fine, though.

But honestly, if I were you, the set-up I'd go for would be:

    Behringer DDM4000 + Zomo MC1000

With that set-up, you'll have FULL control over Traktor, AND complete external 4 channel mixing. You could even add an F1 to that set-up with the greatest of ease.
    DJ'ing: 2x1200MK2, DJM 850, Dicers, F1, Zomo MC-1000, Sony MDR-v700, i7 Win 10 HP Envy
Production: Ableton Live 8 and a mouse, Sennheiser HD400, Sony VAIO

If I was you I'd go for S2 as a main mixing controller and the MF Twister for effects. Oh, wait, that is my setup lol

i really like the Z1. the F1 is great for remix decks. with traktor i only use maschine for adding beats, so i agree with Patch, i wouldnt use it as a midi controller. im old school too, been mixing over 20 years, which is why i bought the xdj1000's. i use them mostly for usb tho and so i can play out on other rekordbox setups - dont really use them with traktor. plus im not keen on all-in-one controllers.

edit: i really like the X1 - mapping it to random stuff i need
    11mba / 13mbp / tsp2 / live9 / audio10 / 2x reloop rp7000gold / 2x xdj1000 / 2x d2
    maschine mk2 / x1 mk2 / z1 / f1 / midifighter / lpd8 / 2x launchpad / launchkontrol xl
