Default DJM 750 with Kontrol D2 & Traktor - Possible? Did i thought about everything?

    Hey,

It looks like i could get an used DJM 750 quite cheap and planed to by some used D2's later this year too (sold everything expect the f1 before i went traveling for several months and want to use the chance for an upgrade now).
Planing to run Traktor with it - the DJM 750 seams a bit overpowered for that use, as i won't really need the effects and stuff, but
    a) as far as i could find out the djm 750 is the cheapest pioneer djm with integrated sound card = i won't have to by an external one to run it with traktor. Am i right with this? (advantage over djm 800 or 600 etc.)
    b) on long view i can addept to a club standart mixer and just take my d2's & f1 with me (never played out jet & don't want to rush it too, more a long term plan)
    c) Using this modular setup with a good mixer (instead of e.g. an s8) will allow me to get rid of the d2 if they get updated / something that fit's me better hit's the market / if i want to dj without my mac in future etc.

What do you think about it? Is something nonsense / did i forgot an important issue that speaks for an other mixer?
Specially: Is it right that i can use the DJM 750 with the D2's and Traktor on Mac without any extra gear or control loss?

Thanks for reading & looking forward to your input!

    It is true. DJM 750 + 2 D2's would be a sweet set-up.

D2's and F1 seems like a bit of an odd combination, though. I think if I were you, I'd switch out the F1 for an X1.

    a) yes
    b) correct. but for gigs it si recommended to get a separate sound card, many clubs don't have a mixer with integrated sound card and dj switchover even on ones with the soundcard can be tricky.
    c) yes

All right! I thought the f1 could be still nice as remix deck because of 16 instead of 8 pads - But what benefit will an X1 give me for that setup? One FX unit for each deck? Because i can manage 4 decks with the djm 750, so why an x1?

All will work fine - my 750 is brilliant, no plans for upgrades!

    Hey!
I have the same set-up since today.

2*D2 and a djm mixer 750. I just don't understand how to connect everything.

A usb cable from macbook to mixer - check

How to link the 2 usb cables of the D2 together, so you only need one port?
And what are the needed settings in Traktor itself to make it work?

    Thank
