To Forum Moderators: I couldn't find how to contact you directly to make sure I could make this post. I hope it's fine this way, as I'm not promoting anything commercially, but genuinely looking for feedback from the community

Hi all,

have you ever experienced this? You’re in the mix, creating the perfect transition, but as the next track comes in it’s either sucking out all the energy (too quiet) or jarring the floor (too loud). Even when meticulously working the gain, there are some moments when it simply isn’t enough: whether you’re deep in the zone creatively or just battling bad monitoring. Current mastering practices are not helping either: many producers and engineers focus more on “perceived punch” than dynamics, further increasing their track volumes and perpetuating the loudness war.

As DJs ourselves we thought to change that and developed waveAlign. A new tool designed specifically to achieve consistently smooth levels across a DJ’s entire library.

waveAlign’s key features are:
Using the industry-standard BS1770 LUFS (trusted by broadcasters and streaming services) to ensure all tracks have the same perceived loudness. This isn't just peak normalization, but based on how the human ear actually hears volume
Fully preserving your library’s integrity: waveAlign uses non-destructive processing. It’s designed to normalize loudness without crushing dynamics or altering the intended sound of the track. All your metadata (cue points, tags, loops, etc.) stays exactly as it is

We’ve been using prototypes of the tool for around a year and many gigs. It helped us tremendously to know all our tracks have the same baseline volume and opened up many creative ways to play with the gain.

waveAlign is almost ready for wider testing, and we're launching a free open beta in approximately 4-6 weeks. We’re looking for DJs of all styles and experience levels who want to get early access, put it to the test, and provide the real-world feedback we need to make it a great tool. We've had great initial feedback from a small alpha test within our network, but now we're excited to open it up and build this with the wider DJ community.

I’m happy to answer all your questions!
