    Default Quick tempo mapping question...

Hey all! I own a Numark Omni Control, and one of the things that annoys me about the pitch bend buttons is that they don't change the pitch permanently, i was wondering whether there was a way to map it so that it does as the pitch slider isn't accurate enough and i hate using the sync button.

Back when i only had a mouse to mix with in Virtual DJ, it had that feature and i found it really useful to get the tracks perfectly in sync and how i want them. I can't seem to find the right Add In under tempo for it, so any help would be appreciated!

    Many thanks!

Just noticed this is in the wrong forum, mod(s) please remove or lock. Thanks!

Can you link to the post you found? I'm think of doing the same thing with my VCI 100's jog wheels when not in scratch mode, i hate the pitch faders on this thing now I'm trying to beatmatch manually instead of tapping sync twice.

set a 100% pitch range, change the pitch bend mapping on the jogwheels to tempo, and drop the sensitivity on the wheels to 1 or 2%? just a quick one off the top of my head.

but it should give a gradual pitch down on the slider and give you the same kind of control as the bend does

What i meant was i posted it in the wrong forum but i got a couple of responses here so i'll run with it..!

@Bradcee, what i'm trying to say is that when i change the pitch with the pitch bend buttons i want it to stay where i pitched it too, and not slowly move back? I did as you said and it helped slightly but it's still not accurate enough i'm afraid.

Do you reckon I can apply that to the jog wheel to only work when i have scratch turned off? or will i have a not as sensitive jog wheel when scratching/scrubbing as well as for pitching?

the vci jogs have 2 separate notes/cc's for the pitch bend and scratch. the clear plastic bit (used for pitch bend) outputs a different signal to the metal plate (used for scratching). so you should be able to do it without affecting the scratch sensitivity. just keep in mind the plastic bit has 2 signals, one for each direction.
