Traktor Kontrol X1 vs VCI-100se

I'm wondering what would be a better option for me ( I have no gear really) between a Traktor Kontrol X1 and a VCI-100se !?

I would say the VCI is a more complete tool. It can be done with the X1, but it's slightly limited.

The vci is clearly better. Is it twice as good? Probably.

Fyi, you dont have to get the se, you can get a regular vci used for like 350-400 and just upgrade the firmware so it acts like and se.

I went out and bought my X1 with a audio 2 for $330. It was a plug and play unit. But to be honest. It just was not enough. If you are use to playing on external mixers then I say you better get one. It just bugged the hell out of me not being able to control the Highs, Mids, Bass, volume fader, or crossfader. Dont know anything about the VCI but Im sure their are enough guys here with the info for you.

Yeah, the X1 stand alone is not really an all round controller. But if used with external mixer, or another controller for the mixer section, it is BEAST ..I've heard..
