    I looked on mouser,
I think the pot is from Bi-Technologies.It looks similar,
but has no wire on it to mount in a panel.

Wait a minute... Those pots are £0.34p EACH?!? That can't be right? How expensive are buttons and faders compared to pots???

I know that I payed 1.013 USD for 1 potentiometer for my vci 100.
thats very little compared with the rates of a service center.
But keep in mind that shipping costs are about 20 Euro from US to Europe.

Is it really that cheap to build a custom controller? Buy a USB HID board, a bunch of pots/faders/buttons from an electronics store, solder 'em to the board, house it, and use MJOY to convert HID to midi.

Is it that easy, and THAT CHEAP???

Maybe a few parts are cheap, but don't forget all the hours off work(fun),
and maybe some more specific parts arent that cheap.(sliders,housing).

    Cheers.

Are sliders/faders that expensive? And I could put together a housing (incl. laser cut faceplate) for next to nothing at work...
