Default Another drum & bass mix, why not?

Hey all, thought I'd upload an average dnb mix for everyone to indulge in. Let me know what you think, not so sure myself...

    Key matching, dude.

Grab a copy of mixed in key or rapid evolution and key up your library. Also, listen out for when things don't sound right together. the mids in a lot of your mixes were very busy, too busy infact. also, kill the bass of the incoming tune. The mix with jungle music springs to mind.

My standard, go to mix is kill bass on incoming, lower mids on the current and blend in the mids of the new song. Switch bass when ready.

    Knew it was fucked, haha.

Also, would you say all of it was out of key?

Most transitions seemed pretty sudden to me, then again, I don't really know any of these songs so it's hard to tell exactly without dissecting it.

You should get some other opinions before you come to that conclusion

I can see why you'd think they were sudden though, but they're not if you listen closely Maybe that's a bad thing though..!

I understand you asked people to let you know what they think, and thats great and all, a bit of criticism isnt bad, but don't let people really influence the way you mix. Like the mixing in key stuff, i throw that stuff out the window, you can make almost any track work with another somehow, you just have to be a bit creative.

Now, by no means am i saying that this mix was great lol, because what was pointed out earlier is true, im just trying to say that the tracks can work, just find better ways of mixing them. I hope im not contradicting myself in any way lol. Anyways, I still listened to the mix because i love dnb, esp liquid. kinda a bit sick and tired of all the house/electro mixes going around....
