Inspired by this and some of the talk on General, i've decided to take the plunge and restore my old headphones to their former glory. I had an excellent pair of headphones that i bought a few years ago, cheap as chips japanese brand but the quality of sound was excellent though unfortunately the build quality was not!

I went ahead and asked my dad to grab me a pair out of work (he works with heavy machinery, i'm not going to say what he does because there may be vegetarians among us) and lo and behold he told me he has a brand new set of these sitting in his locker!

I dont know how this is going to turn out, but i'm getting the defenders tomorrow and also getting my x1, so this may end up being put off for a bit, but i'll do a tutorial and see how it goes, as these could be annoying as hell because of the neckband, or all the better for it!

I had a buddy in high school that hollowed out the casings to some headphones made in the 80s he found in the foreign language department and replaced with skullcandy speakers and a sub booster. I wasnt expecting much when he let me try them on but they literally shook on your head with bass, it was dope. Keep this updated, totally doable.
